Mary Lou Cassidy - Of Counsel

mary lou cassidyMary Lou Cassidy has practiced with the Stubbeman firm since 1979. She now serves “of counsel” with the firm. Mary Lou is licensed in Texas and New Mexico. She began her career in oil and gas law but has gradually changed her practice area to elder law, probate, guardianship and estate planning. Mary Lou is a noted speaker both in oil and gas law and elder issues. She has presented Advanced CLE courses for the State Bar of Texas in both of her areas of expertise. She is also a co-presenter of “Oil & Gas: For Women Only,” a popular West Texas seminar for the wives, widows and daughters of mineral owners and independent oil men. Mary Lou is a native Midlander and a graduate of Austin College and the Texas Tech School of Law. She is active in many civic activities. In 2004, she was one of five Midland recipients of the Jefferson Medallion for Public Service. On a less stuffy note, Mary Lou is a noted ham actor in various venues, including the world famous Midland Summer Mummers, and appeared from 1972 to 1975 as Stagnasia the Witch, hostess of the horror movies on Midland television.
