Pat Long Weaver
Shareholder

Pat Long Weaver is a shareholder with the firm. She is a trial lawyer, Board Certified with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and Civil Trial Law since 1995. Her experience includes representing independent oil and gas companies, Fortune 500 companies, units of local government, small business owners and charitable organizations in complex business litigation, labor and employment and personal injury defense. She has served as both first chair and as team manager taking cases through trial and appeal. She mediates employment disputes, business claims, and personal injury matters. She has been an attorney with Stubbeman, McRae, Sealy, Laughlin and Browder, Inc, of Midland, Texas, since 1985.

  Areas of Practice:
  • Oil and Gas Litigation – Handling all facets of commercial and oil and gas contract disputes, royalty owner disputes, spill/remediation litigation, pipeline condemnations, access and surface use and right of way litigation
  • General Litigation – Representing units of local government, businesses and individuals in disputes ranging from contract to property rights. Also representing clients in estate and probate litigation and personal injury litigation
  • Labor and Employment – Representing employers in all phases of employment law from wrongful discharge claims and litigation before the EEOC through trial, reviewing/preparing employment policies, conducting workshops for Human Resources personnel, assisting with employment issues including terminations and reductions in force
  • Mediation – Offering mediation services in all areas of oil and gas, general business, personal injury, and employment litigation
